Tyler and Mollie Ficker are Cincinnati natives who met through birding at The Ohio State University. They both worked on Ohio State’s Lights Out Buckeyes project, an initiative to make the university a safer place for migratory birds. Their love for birding has taken them across the United States and internationally.
Tyler is the coordinator of Black Swamp Bird Observatory’s Biggest Week In American Birding festival located innorthwest Ohio, where Mollie is also one of the field trip leaders. Tyler also leads tours for Sabrewing Nature Tours. The two are based in Fayetteville, Arkansas where Mollie is working towards her master’s degree in Genetic Counseling. Whether they are birding locally or abroad, you will find them proudly carrying their beloved Kowa TSN-88 and TSN-99 spotting scopes!
