Mariah is Florida born and raised and has spent more hours on the Florida Keys Hawkwatch (floridakeyshawkwatch.com) than any other observer. She is the only counter to see all 4 kite species and to witness all 20 species recorded at the hawkwatch lifetime, plus is the top-ranking female birder in the Florida Keys all time. When away from the Hawkwatch, she conducts bird surveys and guides professional bird tours.
Mariah has guided professional bird tours for Birding Eco Tours, works for St. Paul Island Tours in remote western Alaska, and is co-owner & operator of fledgling Woodstars Birding & Nature Tours (woodstarstours.com). She is an active digiscoper working with Phone Skope as their liaison to the birding community and can be found at their booth at birding shows when not working in the field.
Mariah's enthusiasm for birds and nature is positively infectious, and she is a phenomenal resource as a digiscoping mentor in the field.
