Angela Schumpert AKA The Berd Nird on social media (yes, it is spelled that way) resides in South Carolina and is a huge fan of shore birds and beach birding. She began actively birding in early 2021, transitioning from being a backyard bird watcher, but had always had an interest in nature, hiking and finding joy in being outdoors. Her “Spark Bird” is a Blue Grosbeak which changed her perspective on birds and led her on a road of discovery and adventure. Her favorite bird is an Anhinga, and she enjoys spending countless hours at her favorite birding spot-Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Angela loves encouraging and helping others with birds and birding. Her social media has become a space for her to highlight her outdoor antics and to promote her love of birds in hopes that others find birding fun, adventurous and entertaining. She loves to make birding memes and funny videos.
