Kowa American Corporation's Sporting Optics Warranty
Limited Lifetime Warranty
All Kowa spotting scopes, binoculars, and accessories sold through an authorized North American retailer (see dealer locator link below) come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state, country to country. Kowa American Corporation warrants all of its sporting optics products with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to normal wear and tear, to its original owner when purchased from an authorized North American Kowa retailer. A product registration is requested within 30 days of purchase. You can register via https://kowaoptics.com/pages/warranty-registration.
Kowa warrants all sporting optics products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship and to function satisfactorily under normal conditions during the lifetime of the product to the original owner. If at any time these products are found to have defects in materials or workmanship, Kowa will, at its discretion, repair or replace them free of charge, when requested by the original owner. Kowa cannot honor the guarantee of Kowa sporting optics products that have been disassembled, modified, or worked on by anyone not authorized by Kowa. Warranty is void if damage results from unauthorized repair, alteration, abuse, or misuse. The warranty does not cover defects due to normal wear and tear. Kowa shall use reasonable efforts to repair or replace any product covered by this warranty within 7-10 business days of receipt. The customer will be notified if the repair should require additional time.
Please be aware that Kowa American Corporation's Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to products purchased domestically via authorized retailers. If a product is purchased overseas, the warranty will be that of the Kowa office central office located in said region. Limitations of Wear and Tear
Lens caps and covers, cases, pouches, and straps are covered for their lifetime to the original owner but are not covered for accidental loss.
Optical coatings may develop small blemishes through normal wear and tear and/or abuse under various environmental conditions over time. Determination of warranty coverage is at the sole discretion of Kowa.
If the product is not covered under warranty, Kowa and/or the authorized retailer will contact you with an estimate of the repair price.

Repair Process
The repair process begins with the issuance of an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. To obtain an RMA#, please visit the link below and complete the fields:

You can also call our main office at (310) 327-1913 or toll-free (800) 966-5692 between our normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm PST.
Once your information is received the service department will create the RMA and email it to you. This will come through from billing@kowa.com and the RMA will be in the .pdf attachment. Please print this sheet and include it in the shipment back to us.
When packing your Kowa product for return shipping, be sure to include the attachment provided. You can also write the RMA # from the attachment and/or reference it in the ship to as "Attn: Service Department RMA # ____".
Kowa, nor it's dealers are not responsible for damaged or lost packages or for the shipping costs associated with the product being shipped to Kowa.
Once received, the service team will review the optic and then reach out with an estimated return time and let you know if the repair is covered under warranty or if there are any costs associated with the repair. No work is completed without prior consent and approval, including valid credit card information if applicable. The total repair time is generally 7-10 business days from the time the product is received assuming all parts are in stock. Billable repairs are subject to return shipping charges via UPS Ground. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, money orders, or checks for payment. Checks and money orders may be sent to the address below. Any checks for payment of repairs must clear the bank prior to the product being shipped out. Please ship your Kowa product to:
